Here’s What to Expect:

Week 1: Planning + Pilot Development

Get ready to write your script by learning the essential elements of a TV pilot (you’ll read the first few chapters of TV Writing Toolkit by Jen Grisanti - this is not an affiliate link), creating a writing routine, and developing your voice as a writer.

Week 2: Blue Sky + Story Development

In week two, you’ll Blue Sky (idea dump/think broadly about your show) and complete a pilot development sheet where you’ll flesh out scenes, dialogue, and story ideas that you want to use in your pilot script.

Week 3: Beat Sheet

It’s writing time! That’s right, in week three, you write out your story beat-by-beat.

Weeks 4: Outline

Now that you’ve got the foundations of your story down, it’s time to write your 8-page outline.

Week 5: Act 1

It’s time to go to script! In week 5, you’ll write Act 1.

Week 6: Act 2

It’s time to write Act 2

Week 7: Act 3

Week 8: Rewrite
